Dear all

after years of translating other people's words, I've finally published a book of my own: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1527210456, my memoirs from my other life as an emergency aid worker. As a linguist, I have tried to make it a cultural experience for the reader, among other things by including a liberal dose of local idioms to season the English text. Has anyone come across other books resorting to a similar technique? How would you translate them?
