Dear colleagues,

Just a quick note to let you know about an upcoming series of webinars in Spanish covering medicine basics for the medical translator.
Trainer is none other than Pablo Muguerza - the series will run from January to June, with one session per month. Each session will be divided into four parts: anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and tests and physical examinations, all of which will be explained from the EN>ES medical translator’s point of view.

This series is particularly appropriate for professional translators who seek to acquire a basic medical knowledge in order to start specialising in medical translation (or who would like to settle their basic medical background as medical translators), and translation students who would like to enhance their basic medical background or to explore the possibility to specialise in medical translation.

The series, held in Spanish, includes 6 webinars of 90 minutes on the different human body systems, running every second Wednesday of the month, from January to June 2015:

The cardiovascular system
The respiratory system
The digestive system
The musculoskeletal system
The nervous system
The endocrine system

Happy New Year everyone!
Cheers,
Anne
