What is Swiss French and when is it needed? Swiss French is the variety of French spoken in Western Switzerland (Suisse romande). It is extremely close to usual French, except for some local expressions (helvetisms) and typography. If Swiss localization is relevant for marketing material and websites (where currency, legal aspects and addresses should also be adapted), technical documents do not usually need any adaptation.
