Bio
Elena Smetanina, a native Russian speaker, currently lives in New York City. Elena holds a Master's degree in translation and interpretation (English into Russian and vice-versa) from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. Elena was raised and educated in Moscow, Russia where she co-organized the American Academic Center at the Russian State Humanities University and later worked as a freelance translator and interpreter with the Moscow-based television company REN TV. Elena also taught Russian at Middlebury College and the Monterey Institute of International Studies. Elena is a qualified New York State Court Interpreter. Elena's areas of expertise include but are not limited to law, economics, finance, medicine, arts, literature, and humanitarian sciences.
