Bio

Hi, I'm Jen and I offer expert copywriting, editing,
proofreading and localisation services to clients around the globe,
specialising in:

  • Websites & marketing materials

  • Business & IT texts

  • Academic publications & educational materials

  • News media & publishing

I've been a freelance writer and editor for over 15 years,
and in that time have built a reputation as a friendly and reliable source of
expertise for an international selection of clients and agencies.

I'm a native
English speaker and a graduate of Cambridge University, where I studied English
Literature and won awards for my magazine editing work.

I've studied a variety
of ancient and modern languages as well as advanced linguistics, and have
strong academic research skills.

I'm also a published journalist and an
experienced English teacher, holding the postgraduate DELTA qualification in
teaching English as a foreign language.

Having worked with students from all
over the world in the classroom, I now specialise in helping non-native clients
transcend the language barrier.

I live in sunny Hastings, on the south coast of England,
with my translator husband and our young daughter.

In my spare time I'm
studying creative writing at university level with the Creative Writing
Programme in Brighton, and working on my first novel.
