Bio
My nationality is Spanish and I have been living in the UK since 2004. Back in Spain, I gained a degree and master in Chemistry. However, I have done most of my translation work on non-chemistry related subjects, such as child rights, gender equality, food security, food provision, agricultural techniques and water management in developing countries.

I have been a medicinal and analytical chemist for the pharmaceutical industry for the last 10 years, mostly working in hit to lead and lead optimization oncology projects. At this current role, my main responsibility is the design, synthesis and analysis of novel compounds that will ultimately deliver a clinical candidate.

In order to achieve a solid foundation as a translator, I have attended various courses on general and technical translation at Westminster University and International House.

In addition to translation, I have also done proofreading and editing work. I did the proofreading of some of the translations for the 2008 SIETAR congress, on the subject of interculturalism. Currently, I am doing the editing and proofreading of chemistry texts in English for the organization Professional Education, Testing and Certification Organization International (PEOI).

I should be able to send copies of some of my translation work on request. Please find references on my Linkedin page, other references are available on request.
