1/09 SHE NOTICED A MASS IN HER LEFT BREAST, HER DOCTOR ORDERED AN ECHOGRAM OF THE BREAST WHICH REPORTED A MASS, SHE THEN UNDERWENT A BX WITH TRUCUT NEEDLE GUIDED BY ECHOGRAPHY. PATHOLOGY REPORTED A CARCINOMA, REASONS WHY SHE WAS SUBJECTED TO MASTECTOMY OF THE LEFT BREAST.
FINDINGS:
Interpretation of a gammagram (bone scan) performed on March 9, 2009.
There is a thoracolumbar scoliosis convex to the right. There are associated presumed mild osteoarthritic changes in the cervical spine, the left mid dorsal spine and right upper lumbar spine. Most notably there is a horizontally configured focus of uptake at approximately the L4 level. This latter focus at approximately L4 may represent a compression fracture although severe degenerative change could also produce this appearance. A metastasis would be a less likely consideration. No global abnormalities in tracer uptake are identified.
There is bilateral renal excretion of tracer.
IMPRESSION:
1. Intense uptake at approximately L4 likely represents a compression fracture although severe degenerative change might also produce this appearance. Correlation with radiographs is suggested to confirm. A metastasis would be a less likely consideration.
2. Presumed osteoarthritic changes in the lower cervical, mid thoracic and upper lumbar spine.

HALLAZGOS:

Hay una escoliosis toraco-lumbar convexa al lado derecho. Hay cambios osteoartríticos leves en la columna cervical, la columna dorsal media y la columna lumbar superior derecha. Más notablemente hay un foco de configuración horizontal de captación aproximadamente al nivel de L4. Este último foco en aproximadamente L4 puede representar una fractura por compresión, aunque estos hallazgos también se pueden deber a cambios degenerativos severos. Una metástasis sería una consideración menos probable. No se identifican anormalidades globales en la captación del trazador.
Hay excreción bilateral renal del marcador.
IMPRESIÓN:
1. Captación intensa aproximadamente en L4, que probablemente representa una fractura por compresión, aunque cambios degenerativos severos también pueden producir ésta apariencia. Se sugiere correlacionar con radiografías para confirmar. Una metástasis sería una consideración menos probable.
2. Cambios presumiblemente osteoartríticos en la columna cervical inferior, medio torácica y lumbar superior.

Source text - English This dominoes game is designed for children two years and older. Actually there is no age limit for its use but it is rare to see children older than 10 years old using it.
The tiles of the game are made of pine with birch veneer shapes and the box is made of a wood called yellow. All of the wood is harvested in the south eastern region of Colombia.
For the finish we use water based polyurethane, which is non toxic for children. The finish applied on the box is a mixture of bee's wax and linseed oil.
Learn through play
The dominoes with attributes help to develop the recognition and understanding of color, shape and size attributes in children. It also contributes to develop the fine and gross motor abilities when the dominoes are used to construct towers or in “knock down” rows. It is good to let children play with it in free play to stimulate and foster creativity, since children will invent all kinds of structures and games.
To increase its educational value, take time to talk about the different geometrical figures. Ask the child to count how many sides each shape has, as well as the amount of angles that each one has. Even the younger children will learn the correct name for each shape when taught through play.
You can play a wide array of pairing games with the dominoes with attributes, as well as with the traditional domino games. The pairing can be done based on:

Translation - Spanish Este juego de dominó está diseñado para niños a partir de los dos años. Realmente no hay un límite para su uso, sin embargo, los mayores de 10 años rara vez los utilizan.
Las fichas del juego son de pino, con formas insertas de abedul y la caja está elaborada en madera de amarillo. Todas maderas cosechadas en el sur occidente colombiano.
Para el acabado se aplica poliuretano base agua que no es tóxico para los niños. El acabado de la caja es una mezcla de cera de abejas con aceite de linaza.
Aprender a través del juego
Los dominós con atributos ayudan a desarrollar en los niños el reconocimiento y el entendimiento de los atributos de color, forma y tamaño. También contribuyen a desarrollar habilidades motoras finas y groseras cuando los dominós son utilizados para construir torres, o filas de caídas (efecto dominó). Es bueno dejar que los niños jueguen en forma libre para mejorar la creatividad, toda vez que los niños se inventan toda suerte de estructuras y juegos.
Para incrementar su valor educativo, tómese el tiempo para hablar sobre las diferentes formas geométricas. Pídale al niño que cuente los lados que tiene cada forma, así como la cantidad de ángulos y enséñele el nombre de las formas. Hasta los niños más pequeños aprenderán el nombre correcto de las formas cuando se les enseña a través del juego.

I built my professional career at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana at Bogota, Colombia and I specialized in Health Management at the Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano also at Bogota.
I was raised and lived in the United States territory during primary school through the first semester of college.
I directed the health area of a medical second opinion company. One of my duties was to gather and translate medical records (including test and imaging reports). Then, I had to translate them from Spanish to English and send them to an interdisciplinary group of expert, specialized doctors, in the United States. Then, when the experts delivered their assessment reports and management suggestions I translated them from English to Spanish. This report included some articles published in medical journals that supported the reports. As the company grew, we hired other translators, and I added to my responsibilities the proofreading of their translations.
As well as my experience in health, I have worked as a freelance translator for several companies; during the last four months, I have translated more than 400,000 words. Among my clients are The Language Doctors, Latitude Prime, Jorge Vargas, Lingosphere, Flix Translations and others.
I am now retired from clinical activities and have decided to commit my work time to translating in a timely fashion, with good precision and quality.
Construí mi carrera profesional en la Universidad Javeriana de Bogotá, Colombia y me especialicé en Gerencia en Servicios de Salud en la Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano de Bogotá, también en Colombia.
Me crié y eduqué, desde primaria hasta el primer semestre de Universidad en el Territorio de los Estados Unidos.
Dirigí el área médica de una compañía de segunda opinión especializada, en la cual una de mis funciones era recopilar los registros médicos, con los resultados de todas las pruebas diagnósticas y traducirlas al inglés, y luego enviarlas a un grupo interdisciplinario de médicos expertos en Estados Unidos. Luego cuando ellos emitían un concepto y propuestas de manejo, los traducía del inglés al español. Éste informe incluía algunos artículos publicados en revistas médicas y servían como respaldo a sus informes. Cuando la compañía creció, contratamos otros traductores y agregué a mis responsabilidades la revisión de sus traducciones.
En el último cuatrimestre he traducido más de 450,000 palabras para los siguientes clientes:
