"Knowledgeworks" is India's largest Language Translation Services company.

We are a 4 year old company and part of a $ 16 million Information Technology company called Value Point. Our group has 4 companies covering IT Hardware, Software development, Outsourcing and Language Translation.

We are a team of more then 450 people and have been the chosen translation partner for Fortune 500 companies such as GE, Philips, CG Smith, Wipro, Unilever, Infosys, Samsung and Deutsche software in India to name a few and work closely with the IT, software, technical, legal and R & D departments of these organisations.

The different types of documents we can translate are:

1. Business / Financial Documents: Business plans, company profiles, product catalogues, business correspondence, letters of intent & introduction, marketing communication / documents, tender documents, annual reports, financial reports, sales report, media reports, training materials, price lists etc.

2. Legal Documents: Legal document, laws, regulations and legal notices, contracts, agreements, lease, copyrights, Patents, insurance policies etc.

3. Technical Documents: User guide / manuals, Software Manuals (documentation), installation instructions, product specifications, computing and electronics (software and hardware), Internet/Web, machinery instruction manuals etc.

4. Scientific documents: Patents, Research papers, formulations, Journals, drawings etc.

5. Literary/Academic Documents: Academic papers, essays, novels, books and etc.

TERMS
The time required during each phase of a translation project is detailed for your reference and for assisting you in your planning for timeline / delivery deadlines.


1. Project assessment & planning phase:
This phase will take a minimum of 1 hours and a maximum of 3 hours depending on the size, nature and requirements of the project.

2. Assigning the project phase:
This phase will take a minimum of 2 hours and a maximum of 8 hours depending on the size, nature and requirements of the project apart from the country and time zone in which the translator resides.

3. Translation phase:

The time taken for this phase depends on following parameters
a. Language pair
b. Topic of translation
c. Type of document both Base & final
d. Quality of the base document


Taking a count of 1000 words in a document time taken for translation is as follows:

English to Indian Languages : 5-6 hours
English to European Languages : 3-5 hours
English to Asian Languages : 6-8 hours

It can take an additional 20% time depending on the Topic/ subject domain of the document.

No additional time is taken for copy able text in word, excel or power point or PDF / HTML.

If the translated text has to be put into the existing format in PowerPoint or in diagrams an additional 25 % time is required.

If the PDF document contains scanned images of the documents, which cannot be
copied it will take an additional 25 % time.

4. Proof reading & Quality assurance phase:
For proof reading 1000 words it will take minimum 2 hours. The time can increase to 3-4 hours depending on the language pair and the subject of the translation. Additionally for formatting (If present) and quality checks it will take 1 – 2 hours for every 1000 words.

Payment terms is 50% advance, balance on delivery
