Any tips on how to present a translator CV?

I am going to write up my CV to try and get my first translation job. Does anyone have any tips on how to present it?

Nowadays a CV is often e-mailed or faxed and not delivered in person. Take this into account with designing your CV. However, you may also present your CV in person and then the physical appearance of the CV (as well as the deliverer - you - are quite important).

Use a font that scans well and faxes well. Use wide margins but limit the CV to the length appropriate in your country (usually between two and four pages). Use whitespace and headings to make the CV easy to read in a glance. If you put a photo on the CV, don't use a holiday snap but rather have a head+shoulders picture taken wearing formal office attire. Wear the appropriate dress when delivering the CV even if you simply deliver it at the door.

I forgot to add: use good quality paper and use a laser printer if you can (or a good quality ink jet may also suffice). I would staple the pages at the top left corner and put the CV into a loose file with a transparent front cover. Rationale: the pages must be easy to turn, the CV must be easy to remove from its cover and the pages must still look good after passing through several hands. The last pair of hands looking at the CV may be the most important pair, so don't skimp on paper quality.
