Hi, I have been translating profesionally for 2 years since gaining an MA in translation studies at the University of Durham. Most recently I took on the translation of a book by Anna Mancini, from French to English. I did this for free, in exchange for my details being put at the back of the book along with a picture. I am hoping that this will generate more work but I'm wondering what I should do to promote myself on the back of this translation. Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you... See more

Free copies

You don't mention it, but I hope you asked for a number of free copies of the book. You could send out a copy with your CV, and a presentation letter to important potential clients. If you have a website, you could post a pdf of cover and rear, and maybe an excerpt. Good luck
