Hi, I have been translating profesionally for 2 years since gaining an MA in translation studies at the University of Durham. Most recently I took on the translation of a book by Anna Mancini, from French to English. I did this for free, in exchange for my details being put at the back of the book along with a picture. I am hoping that this will generate more work but I'm wondering what I should do to promote myself on the back of this translation. Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you... See more

Free copies Jan 30, 2013

You don't mention it, but I hope you asked for a number of free copies of the book. You could send out a copy with your CV, and a presentation letter to important potential clients.
If you have a website, you could post a pdf of cover and rear, and maybe an excerpt.
