Hi Friends,

I am interested to ask from my fellow Prozian interpreters about court related interpretations. I request you to share your tip and any experience, that you feel, is worthwhile to mention as an experienced court interpreter. If you have experience of doing interpretation between advocate/s and witness/es, then I request you to please share your knowledge about it.

I would love to share some of my experience with you, but I am sure that court
requirements for interpreters differ from one country to another. For example, during a trial an interpreter is allowed to interpret between the attorney and his client, outside the court, only if he is instructed by the judge to do so. In a court setting the interpreter uses the consecutive mode during testimony and simultaneous when the parties (prosecutor, defense attorney or judge)... See more
