Vaio prices

Farkas you are right that Vaio Z series is by far the most expensive. What I meant is that you can configure Sony as you like (up to 8 GB RAM, iCore7 etc.) while I wasn't able to do so in the Toshiba/Samsung internet sites, so I couldn't make a real comparison. I had just the impression that Sony wasn't so much more expensive, if you consider what you get more compared to the others. May be I should have expressed myself differently. Sony Vaio Z13: noisy and heated
Jan 19, 2011
As it happens, I went to a local computer store this afternoon (for reasons other than laptops) and, because you asked, I looked at a Vaio Z13 (13,3''). The one I saw had a very noisy fan and was heated. And it was sooo expensive (around $3600 - wow!). The screen did look great though (but you still have to use it for a while before you know it's right for you).

With SSD and BlueRay
Jan 19, 2011
you can easily break the 3.000 EUR mark in Germany. Though I do not think BluerRay is essential for business. OTOH you may very well be right, as the i5/i7 processors will produce heat. This however will be also the case in any other brand.
