Usually I'll be in my living room, with a view of bamboos and rosebushes and olive and cherry trees and my geraniums in the window boxes.
Now we're at our new second home and quite frankly it's a tip right now. Not just a mess like Aya's home, a literal tip of gravel and rubble in the garden that the workers were supposed to have taken away, plus in the foreground, a litter festival strewn across what may yet become a place I can cook in once my partner has finished putting up the kitche... I'm not getting very far with my translation because every so often I have to get up and hold something firmly while he drills a hole in the right place, or show him that yes, the screws really are where I said even if there was something in front of them. So, rather distressing right now.
