This is the first time I take part in a ProZ contest and it was a challenging exercise. The perception I have is that much more than showing my skills, I was able to learn by observing my colleagues’ translations and calling into question some choices of my own. I really think events like this can help us to develop our abilities and our sense of professional community since I believe that when I am respectfully criticized on solid ground, my performance can reach a higher rate.
