See more Dear members, In anticipation of the next translation contest, a feature has been introduced to allow for submission of potential source texts. Texts can be proposed, and then tagged and commented on by the submitter and others, to evaluate them against the criteria for translation contest source text selection. I think it would be safer to obtain permission anyway, unless the relevant copyright can safely be judged to have expired (which, however, means the source is quite old, which may have some drawbacks). This is because copyright laws differ from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, and while as far as I know American and perhaps English law should be pretty reasonable here, continental systems and other systems with statutory regulation of copyrights and fair could easily create a problem (e.g. permissi...
