Hello,

I am actively looking for a reliable Canadian French dictionary that could help me spot and understand the differences between the Canada variant of French and the France variant.

I am looking to practice in Canadian French and study it so I can expand my work a little bit.

Any good recommendations?

I don't recall whether Termium specifies that a term is a CA variant, but since it is compiled in Canada, it can help you identify the French terms you come across in Canadian texts where anglicisms are widespread in France.

Actually Le Robert also seems pretty good for indicating regional variants.

Whilst not a dictionary, per se, it is a great resource for "official" Canadian French terminology.

Hello,

Here is a great tool recommended to me by people from Quebec:
Multi Dictionnaire de la langue française - Marie-Eva de Villers.

Hope this helps.

Have a nice day.

Anne-Lise
