There is wide discrepancy within the industry in the use of definitions related to adjuvants. The European Adjuvant Association list is based on the list of standard definitions from ASTM in the USA, with some additions and modifications, as there are obvious advantages if a joint Europe/USA set of definitions can be agreed.
