Portuguese to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Finance (general) / Formulário de pedido
Portuguese term or phrase: Dias fora semana
O termo acima é uma de quatro possíveis "Condições de Pagamento" (veja as demais abaixo) aplicadas a fornecedores de uma rede de supermercados no Brasil. São opções exclusivas pois somente uma é marcada.

O prazo de pagamento é pré-determinado em 56 dias. Acredito que os termos se referem à maneira de contar os 56 dias, mas não tenho certeza.

No documento original é usada a palavra "data", mas vi referências (sem explicações infelizmente) na internet que falam em "dias" e não "data"...

DD = Data entrega : DFS = Data fora semana : DFQ = Data fora quinzena : DFM = Data fora mês

Date outside week

Explanation:
HI Martin, I did a search as well and did not find anything...
I wonder if it refers to the date/time that goes over the payment agreed time, i.e. if it goes over a week, a fortnight, etc...
I would just translate it literally...

Asker: Thanks, Lídia. I tried ringing the supermarket involved, and one other, and both times got transfered to the eternal music.

one week from date

Explanation:
Interpreto "DD = Data entrega" como pagamento no acto de entrega. Se assim for, as outras condições de pagamento poderiam ser vertidas como "one week from date (of delivery)", "two weeks from date (of delivery)", etc.

Days counted from the first day of next week

Explanation:
If we have an invoice (nota fiscal) with the condition 30 DFS for payment for example...
Let's say it was issued today (October 23rd), then the payment term will start to count from October 27th and the payment must de done on November 26th.
