My name is Amr Bayoumi, I'm a linguist working professionally in translation, interpretation and subtitling since 2009. I started my career working as a linguist for Agwa productions, an event organising and productions company providing services in translations, interpretation and subtitling short videos, promos and documentaries.

Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros., Viasat Explorer: Translating subtitles of feature movies and documentaries;
Translated a series of films on various subjects for the European Parliament TV channel.

I have subtitled a number of films and documentaries for American and European clients, e.g. Letters From Mother Teresa, Madagascar 2, Megamind, How To Train Your Dragon, She's Out Of My League, Oliver & Company and other, as well as some video games.

I have been working as a professional subtitler since 2004.
I am working with a number of renowned media companies and subtitling agencies.
I translated more than 200 movies, documentaries, TV series, anime, etc.

I have experience in subtitling not only as a translator but also as an editor. This is my full-time job but I also work as a freelancer.
I have a Master's Degree in Translation and Editing which included a 1-year course in Film Translation.
My biggest freelance project was for Netflix ( for the series "Orange is The New Black").
I translate for dubbing. Currently translating for FOX Bulgaria.
I also volunteer as a TED translator.

Over 25 years of experience in film translation for V/O and subtitling as well as EMT preparation and subtitling studio management.

I've been working as a professional film translator since 2000 for some of the national Bulgarian televisions and other channels as Fox, HBO, Hallmark, etc. I've translated for dubbing and subtitled many films and tv shows and I'm still doing it.

I've been working as a translator/subtitler of movies, shows, series and documentaries mostly from English to Bulgarian and from Bulgarian to English since 1990. I'm working for the Bulgarian National Television and many other cable and TV channels /Hallmark until 2016, Sony AXN, Viasat History, Viasat Nature, TV1000, CBS Drama, etc./
