Born and raised in Portugal, I soon discovered my love and talent for languages and writing. After moving to Vienna in Austria in 2006 to study Theatre, Media and Film Studies, which I concluded in 2012, I also enrolled in a Translation and Interpreting Bachelor's Degree (PT/DT/EN/FR). I started working as a freelance translator in 2007. Thanks to my degree in Translation Studies, I came to perfect my style and technique. After obtaining my diploma in 2010 for the Portuguese, German and English languages, I started working as an Assistant Translator at an agency for interpreting and translation Services in Vienna. My duties included reviewing/proofreading texts as well as helping out with the translations and project management. I finished my Master's Degree in Translation and Interpreting in the University of Vienna at the Center for Translation Studies in 2017.
As a freelance translator & interpreter my main focus areas are institutional and human rights related areas, healthcare & medical, administration, and marketing & product development.
As an interpreter I worked in Austria and Portugal in several areas such as in the Paper Coating and Impregnating Industry, for Human Rights NGOs, at Resource Management Conferences, in Banking and Investment, Healthcare & for Pharmaceutical companies, among others.
