Source text - English 1.1.3.7 Jack up positioning
The jack-up barge is towed and positioned by tugs assisted by a DGPS positioning system.
The jack-up legs are then lowered in the seabed to get the barge stabilization.
1.1.3.8 Piles’ guides positioning
The final position of the pile guide is assured by total station. The centre of the pile guide shall corresponds to the centre of the pile.
1.1.3.9 Piling
The operative sequence for piles’ driving is the following:
§ The pontoon’s crane will lift the pile temporarily stocked on the pontoon’s deck under the pile driver’s hook. The pile driver will hang up the pile’s top while the pontoon’s crane will lift the pile base; the pile will be lifted up to the pile driver’s cowling;
§ The pile driver and the pile will be moved to reach the required position under a continuous topographic monitoring and then the pile is allowed to penetrate into the soft seabed material under its self-weight;
§ The equipment for the driving analysis will be placed on the pile’s top and calibrated. The pile’s top will be fixed to the driver’s guide to prevent from pile’s movements;
§ The steel “follower” will be lifted accordingly to the previously described procedure and lined up to the pile’s centerline. The vertical position of both the pile and the follower are then checked. A damper will be positioned between the pile and the follower;
§ A Demag-hydrohammer will drive the pile continuously through the clay until the required depth is reached. The pile’s vertical alignment will be monitored during the entire driving procedure;
§ The follower and the damper will be recovered and placed on the pontoon’s deck once the driving operation is complete; the accelerometers previously fixed to the pile’s top will be recovered by divers;
§ The jack- up barge will be moved and re-positioned.

Il pontone della piattaforma autoelevatrice è rimorchiato e posizionato tramite l'assistenza di rimorchiatori attraverso un sistema di posizionamento DGPS.
Le gambe della piattaforma autoelevatrice saranno quindi abbassate nel fondale marino per permettere la stabilizzazione della chiatta.
1.1.3.8 Posizionamento delle guide dei pali
La posizione finale del palo di guida è assicurata da un tacheometro. Il centro della guida del palo dovrà corrispondere al centro del palo.
1.1.3.9 Palificazione
La sequenza operativa per la battitura dei pali è la seguente:
§ La gru della chiatta isserà il palo depositato temporaneamente sul ponte sotto il gancio del battipalo. Il battipalo sospenderà la parte superiore del palo mentre la gru della chiatta isserà issare la base dello stesso; il palo dovrà essere issato fino alla cappottatura del battipalo;
§ Il battipalo e il palo saranno spostati fino raggiungere la posizione richiesta sotto un continuo monitoraggio topografico e, successivamente, il palo potrà penetrare nel soffice materiale sottomarino sotto il proprio peso;
§ L’ equipaggiamento per l’analisi della battitura sarà posizionato sulla testa del palo e calibrato. La parte superiore del palo sarà fissata alla guida del palo per prevenire eventuali movimenti di quest’ultimo;
§ Il rullo in acciaio sarà issato conformemente alle procedure elencate precedentemente e allineato all’asse del palo. La posizione verticale sia del palo che del rullo saranno quindi monitorate. Dovrà essere posizionato un ammortizzatore tra il palo e il rullo;
§ Un maglio idraulico Demag condurrà il palo continuamente attraverso l’argilla fino a quando non verrà raggiunta la profondità richiesta. L’allineamento verticale del palo dovrà essere monitorato durante l’intero processo di battitura;
§ Il rullo e l’ammortizzatore dovranno essere recuperati e posizionati sul ponte della chiatta una volta completata l’operazione di battitura; l’accelerometro precedentemente fissato sulla parte superiore del palo dovrà essere recuperato da sommozzatori;
§ Il pontone della piattaforma autoelevatrice dovrà essere spostato e riposizionato.
