Hi I am Yuka, an English-Japanese/ Japanese-English translator based in Seattle, WA.
I graduated from a 4 year university in Missouri to get my B.S. in Education and minor in TESOL.
Being a native Japanese, not only I have great understandings for the language but also the cultural contents behind it.
Professional career:
Translator/ Interpreter at a Japanese semi-conductor company for 1 year.
Duties includes;
- Translating owner's manual, presentation, machine setups, troubleshooting, and highly confidential documents.
- Interpreting meetings, phone calls, and trainings.
Student teacher at
- 4 public elementary schools in Missouri (Duration of 1.5 years)
- a Private Japanese-English bilingual facility for young children in California (1/2year)
- a public international school in Northern Ireland (2months)
Self employed tutor
- Elementary and middle school age kids (2 years)
