Source text - English Out of the four segments which typically constitute the tourism sector (see figure below), Jordan is focused on the “leisure” and “business” categories. In both, the Kingdom has aspired to become a global contender, making strides to build its conference capabilities and working towards a more global clientele in leisure by launching an international marketing campaign and expanding its attractions. Tourism development has been championed by the primary regulator, the Ministry of Tourism, supported by the Jordanian Police, responsible for regulating entry into the Kingdom. Other government and state-owned entities play an important role in the sector, such as Royal Jordanian, JTB (Jordan Tourism Board) Jordan Airport Management Company and Jordan’s ports. Thanks to these combined efforts, the tourism sector in Jordan today is well represented across all elements of the tourism value chain.

My name is Manal Makki and I am a qualified and experienced translator working from English to Arabic wich is my native language or vice versa. My aim in translation is not to bring a text that sound translated but to produce one that is fresh, energitic and similar to the source text.
My path to become a translator was always sought because of my desire in writing and reading, it was my creativity in writing that helped me in acheiving my goal as a translator.
Due to that, I took interest in studying English Literature and completed that interest in obtaining a Master degree in Translation which together shaped my career.
My first experience as a translator was in journalism; I translated some news articles on diffiernt topics, following I worked in a non-profit organiztion where my work covered translating legal documents, reports and studies. After that, I was encouraged to take a different direction and work in a well-known audit firm where I translated financial reports and manuals and sometimes IT reports.
