Source text - Chinese 電影《風聲》是根據麥家同名小說改編而成，演繹的是抗日時期一段諜戰故事，因為一連串槍殺汪偽政府重要官員而引起日本的重視，他們研判共產黨地下抗日組織的領導人「老槍」是這一系列暗殺行動的主導者，因此將最有可能竊取到情報的五名嫌疑犯囚禁在裘莊，調查期限只有五天。這五人為求自保，彼此揭露、出賣，無所不用其極，因為只有揪出「老鬼」，才能活著離開。小說中刑求篇幅並不多，但電影卻加重刑求的情節，為了讓「老鬼」現身，敵方折磨這五個人身心，企圖以恐佈的酷刑摧毀他們的意志，更利用人類面臨死亡前本能地自我保護的人性，以瓦解其鬥志，可說是人性最黑暗的一面；但面臨死亡同時也可以展現人性最光輝的一面，因此當「老鬼」、「老槍」明白已到了生死存亡之際，均選擇犧牲自己，以確保對方性命並將正確情報傳遞出去，他們崇高的人性與堅強的信仰是令人感動的地方。本文即從電影詮釋的手法來探究本片主要角色在這五天面臨生死關頭，人性如何被摧毀，又如何被建構。	Translation - English The movie” The Message” is adopted from the same name novel by Mai Jia, and depicts a spy and war story in the anti-Japanese occupation period, where a series of gun shooting incidents related to important officials in the Wang Jingwei's Puppet Government caught the attention of the Japanese. Suspecting that “Old Gun”, the leader of an underground anti-Japanese organization of the communist party was the leader of these series of assassinations, the Japanese government imprisoned five suspects, who were deemed mostly likely to steal intelligence, in the Qiu House, and set an investigation period of only five days. Due to self-preservation, these five people not only disclosed and betrayed each other, but also resorted to all conceivable extreme measures for ferreting out the “old ghost”, which was the only way to leave here alive. There is not much torture in the novel while the torture plots are accentuated in the movie, in which the enemy, aiming to let the “old ghost” show up, physically and mentally tortured these five people in an attempt to destroy their wills, and to dismantle their morale by exploiting the human instinct of self-preservation when facing death, which can be said to be the darkest side of human nature. However, the most brilliant side of human nature can appear on the brink of death. Therefore, when coming to realize it was a time of life or death, both “Old Ghost” and “Old Gun” had opted to sacrifice themselves to ensure the survival of the others and that the correct information could be passed out. Their noble human nature and strong belief are impressing. From the perspective of movie interpretation techniques, this article explores how human nature is destructed and constructed when the main characters were facing a critical moment between life and death during the five days.

I received my undergraduate education in Taiwan and postgraduate education in Australia, during which time I received a Graduate Diploma in Translation and became a NAATI accredited professional translator from the English language into the Chinese language (NAATI number 94843). I subsequently became a NAATI accredited professional translator from the Chinese language into the English language in October 2016. I have an excellent command in Chinese and English, and have several years of solid translation, transcribing and proofreading experience in Australia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
