I was born in Mexico City, where I have always lived.
My professional experience started in hospitality, at a high-class hotel, where I learned the importance foreign languages have in helping others to communicate and fulfill their needs to their utmost satisfaction.
Most of my work was for the Food & Beverage area, where I began my interaction with food and wine and learned many technical terms necessary for daily activities.
Then I moved on to Retail, where I perfected my knowledge of business. Working as a Buyer I learned the entire process of selecting a vendor, building a product catalogue, and reaching commercial goals of sales, profitability and inventory rotation. It is within this area that my strongest area of expertise lies. I translated documents, communicated with foreign vendors and served as interpreter in meetings. I am now a consultant for new entrepreneurs wishing to learn the ropes to enter the retail market, as well as for foreign suppliers wishing to enter the Mexican market.
But it wasn't until recently that I completely fell in love with translation. Both my parents are physicians who required help in translating and proof-reading of articles aimed at being published in foreign journals. With their technical help I was able to create well-articulated documents that were accepted for publication in journals of Epigenetics, Mycobacteriology and Substance use.
I took great pride in contributing to the work scientists do to help mankind be healthier.
In order to improve my skills and acquire more experience, I began a course for translators at the beginning of 2018.
Having proved I can produce a satisfactory translation work, I look forward to continuing to do so for my future clients.
