Hi there, I'm Lucia and I'm a freelance translator from Italy. 

I have graduated in Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Bologna and I have just obtained a Master of Science with Distinction in Translation Studies from the University of Aberdeen. I have also been gaining practical experiences thanks to volunteering platforms such as TED and ESO.

At the moment I translate from Italian into English (U.S./U.K.) and from English (U.S./U.K.) into Italian. I am also a capable editor, proofreader and reviewer for both Italian and English texts.

I possess native fluency in reading, writing and speaking English and I have traveled and studied in different English-speaking countries, from the U.K. to the U.S. These experiences have provided me with a solid understanding of the various differences in customs and cultures - something that is always important to keep in mind for translations. Additionally, I have learnt Spanish, German and Russian in school and university. At the moment, I am taking a Russian course with the hopes to improve my skills in the language and to, hopefully, be able one day to translate from Russian as well.
