I am a native British English speaker who grew up in Leicester then moved to Bristol in 2009. I worked within the paper industry for almost 10 years, working in the sales department of a large international paper merchant. Since I had always had a passion for language in general, I decided to make it my career. I therefore decided to study a BA in French and Spanish at the University of Bristol and was awarded with first-class honours.

In addition to my interest in language itself, during my degree I discovered a particular passion for translation. What fascinates me is the creativity of language, how a concept can be explained in a myriad of different ways and the different nuances that can be implied by a particular choice of words. I am also a problem-solver by nature, so I greatly enjoy researching and digging around for information in order to better understand a particular industry and produce an accurate and precise translation. Furthermore, I have a great eye for detail and am a perfectionist at heart. All of these attributes, I feel, make me naturally suited to work in translation.

My professional experience prior to beginning my language journey was focused on sales, marketing and customer service, particularly within the paper industry. Not only does this give me particular expertise in paper, printing, stationery and packaging products, but it has also taught me the importance of delivering a customer-focused service. As a result of over 14 years of professional sales, marketing and customer service experience, I am confident in my ability to ensure that I provide the best possible service to all customers that I work with. Moreover, I am more than capable of translating marketing texts in a way that will appeal directly to your own customers in the target language.

My priority when producing translations for clients is accuracy. I will work tirelessly to ensure that the source text is reproduced accurately and eloquently into English, and I would rather turn down a job than attempt to produce a substandard translation due to time constraints or lack of expertise in a particular area. If I accept a job, it is because I am 100% confident that I am able to meet the customer's expectations in terms of quality and timescale.
