SERVICES   I provide a range
of language & language related services including translation, editing,
proofreading, language & culture consulting, and cognitive debriefing.

EXPERIENCE  I have worked professionally as a
translator, editor, writer and language consultant for over 12 years in the US,
Australia and Vietnam. For the past 12 years, I have mainly translated and
edited Life Sciences documents (with emphasis on Health Plans, Insurance
Providers, Healthcare, Clinical Trials and Research Studies) particularly for
the Vietnamese community living in North America, who use a language variation
differing from the one used in Vietnam. My areas of specialization also include
Business, Market Research, Education, Tourism and Travel, Health and Safety,
and Information Technology. I also have the experience coordinating the
Translation & Interpretation Department of Hue College of Foreign
Languages, Vietnam, and taught courses in Cross-cultural Communication, I also hold lectureship at RMIT University and
Hue College of Foreign Languages, Vietnam. I teach courses in Technology and Translation, Translating Practice and Principles, and Cross Cultural Communication.  I
have widely published in the areas of translation and cross-cultural

Vietnamese translation for the North American market has been published in

QUALIFICATION  I am a native speaker of Vietnamese,
and have been well trained in translation and linguistics. I hold a BA degree
in English and Translation from the University of Hue (Vietnam), an MA in
Applied Linguistics (Bilingual /Cultural Studies) from the University of
Massachusetts-Boston (USA), and a Doctorate in Education from the
University of Melbourne (Australia). I am a voting member of the American
Translators' Association (ATA).

CAT TOOLS  I mainly work with Trados Studio
2019, and recently with Memsource per client's request.
