It is planned to develop the Achimov horizon in Blocks 1 and 2 of the XXX Field (the Project). The Achimov horizon in this specific area has not been developed yet and no activity for project development by the Project Company has taken place so far. However, the surface area has been used for activities by other projects. The Project can hence not be considered as a greenfield development. In order to derive an environmental baseline and documentation of the status prior to commencement of project development, an Environmental Due Diligence assessment shall be performed.
Objectives
The EDD assessment, as described in this scope of work, shall serve as a baseline assessment of the land, to be used during Project development, prior to any activity having been commenced by the Project Company. It shall serve to identify and assess any impact, contamination or pollution, present from earlier industrial activity in the area. Additionally, it shall identify the presence of any protected flora and fauna species on land plots foreseen for Project development activities.

Разработка Ачимовского горизонта конкретно в этом районе ранее не проводилась и Проектной организацией пока не предпринималось никаких действий по проектированию. Однако данная территория ранее использовалась в других проектах. Таким образом, рассматривать этот Проект, как проект, разрабатываемый с нуля, нельзя. Для получения информации об исходном состоянии окружающей среды перед началом реализации проекта и подготовкой соответствующей документации необходимо провести экологическую экспертизу.
Цели
Экологическая экспертиза, как указано в настоящем объеме работ, должна производиться с целью оценки исходного состояния земельных участков, используемых в ходе реализации Проекта, до начала любых работ Проектной организацией. Задача экспертизы – выявить и оценить негативное воздействие или загрязнение прошлой промышленной деятельностью на этой территории. Кроме того, экспертиза поможет установить наличие на земельных участках, предусмотренных для реализации проекта, охраняемой флоры и фауны.
