No (fortunately) Feb 12, 2019

I understand that the use of translation management systems is a must for certain translation agencies dealing with rather complex projects but personally I’m looking to make my life easier not the other way around…

I understand that it may facilitate the client's processing, but I wish they were more user friendly and made things easier to translators too...

But not recently, ongoing as I have different customers in different countries.
I actually find them useful

... a completely over-the-top auction system to allocate jobs at extremely low rates (I'm sure there are plenty of people over here who will recognise the client). I unsubscribed from those email notifications immediately.

It's as usually: I translate, they pay as agreed; nothing new.

I understand the "translation management system" as being a platform like Plunet where you are awarded the job, download the files you need, finish the job, upload the project and then when everything has been close, invoice the job - online

It happens all the time, and our duty is to learn how to use them and go on with our life. In this case, it's useless to complain or question it, unless they change prices or terms of payment. But the simple implementation of a new management system is the client's choice, and we either adapt to it or say goodbye.
