small amount related to the issue but no other work is missing as an option Mar 20, 2020

I got a small amount of work related to the issue a few days ago, but beyond that NO WORK AT ALL!
And this despite of my specialization in the medical and pharmaceutical field. Very concerned.

A little Mar 20, 2020

I've had a few small snippets of COVID-19 related text to translate, mainly to do with advice for those now working from home (such as not to work in pyjamas, as apparently changing out of your sleepwear clicks your mind into working mode better, or so they say). Apart from that, I've been working on other types of virus, but more useful ones, such as phage viruses, which are being groomed to replace antibiotics. Also, virus treatments for the pork industry. It's all grist to the mill.

Some FAQs, and probably more to come Mar 20, 2020

A couple of smallish jobs for a regular client (a company that produces customized products and printed materials). The translations were FAQs about the effect Covid-19 may have on their production, deliveries, etc. There is probably more to come...
Edit: And indeed another 500 words of Covid-19 related FAQs & website updates to translate just rolled in this morning... Meanwhile, other work (software & IT localization) has be

Yes, a small amount of work related to Covid-19 Mar 20, 2020

I’m surprised that since December I’ve translated just two documents related to the coronavirus outbreak. I was expecting a huge decline as last week I had no work at all during 2/3 days, but then things got back to normal again. Only time will tell what the future holds. Stay safe!

Some Mar 20, 2020

I've received quite some texts to translate from different companies with subsidiaries in my country who are explaining the dos and don'ts to their employees. Beyond that, work has been coming in as usual, but we're just at the beginning of the situation here, so I don't know how that will look like in a few weeks.
Stay safe!

Yes, a small amount Mar 20, 2020

So far I only received one project related to the virus - a newsletter advising employers on their legal obligations.

Yes, one short job Mar 20, 2020

Since it was from a medical publisher, I expect that more will come.

This article doesn't bode well for those of us translating clinical trial documents Mar 20, 2020

Just one press release mentioned it, saying that the February stats were wonderful but it won't continue (for an airport).
The past ten days I've been translating stuff about food hygiene and safety, nothing to do with corona but quite fitting. It seems like work is now drying up, otherwise March had been a great month up to now.

Just one single job Mar 20, 2020

Yes, last week I had to proofread a brochure about basic preventive measures, but nothing since; these days are very quiet, I hope I will get some more jobs before too long.

Several thousand words for a hospital, covering measures being taken to combat the virus.
