I am a full-time in-house Spanish <-> English translator. I've been working full-time in-house since 2002. My translation assignments often include official documents supporting immigration applications, citizenship, birth, marriage and police clearance certificates, powers of attorney, travel authorizations, education and employment record documents; medical documents (medical reports, medical certificates, patient test results, medical insurance claims), product labels and brochures as well as other commercial documents. I translate an average of 700,000 words each year and I’m used to working with tight deadlines and often translating from low-resolution (and often hand-written) source documents.
My daily average output is between 3500- 4500 words depending on the level of complexity of the source document.
