Bio

The only thing I love more than reading books is to translate them.

After studying Translation and Interpreting in the University of Salamanca, spending some time living in France and in Italy and meeting so many people from around the world, I realised that translation is my passion, as it can reunite people from so different backgrounds and make them understand each other as if there wasn't a language and culture barrier between them.

I'm more interested in literary and audiovisual translation, and those are the domains I am more used to work in. I have experience in subtitling, in translating subtitles, in dubbing (both as an actress and as a translator), in translating novels for young adults and also theatre plays.

I am also a certified professional (I have a degree on Translation and Interpreting), but it doesn't stop there. Since I finished (2018) I continue studing and training myself, as I think that we always have to change with the times, as technology and knowledge never stop evolving.  For example, I worked in France for 7 months, I did an intensive course on Modern Greek Language and I just finished a course on Audiovisual Translation of scripts for dubbing and voice-over (EN>ES).

Another field I am interested in is scientific translation. I may not be an expert in this particular field, but I am an expert in translation, and as such I know how to properly use many tools and ressources that will make my translation as good as if it was written by an expert in the field. I love reading popular science books, especially about physics, and I would love to engage in a proyect of this type.
