Discussion

chica nueva Jan 10, 2005:
Such an interesting question. Thanks Vangastel. Personally, nice to hear from Belgium too. We (small group of NZ students, a few years ago now) got to know a Belgian guy studying at the Languages Institute in Beijing - introduced me to Simenon...

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Andreas, you won both on speed and your answer is supported by successive answers indicating the same meaning. So I guess you deserved it. To all others, especially Xianjun and Weiwei, I have enormous respect for you guys for sacrificing so much of your no doubt valuable time in the kudoz here and for going on doing this. Lesley, thanks for your detailed answer, which makes me understand the actual meaning much better. It's like "overflowing with motion" isn't it. .. and lots of fun with Simenon. "

full of (a sense of) movement

四溢:

溢 = overflow; spill eg 河水四溢.The river overflowed.(外研社:汉英词典)
溢 = 充满而流出来 eg 洋溢;河水四溢(现代汉语词典)
溢 = 充满而流出来 eg 河水四溢;溢洪道;溢美(喻过分夸奖)(新华字典)

四 = 四方? (猜的)

用法:
激情四溢,动感十足 (especially in promotions for cars, but also for describing music. see Google)
四溢also collocates as 热情四溢;性感四溢...

动感 = 'moving; motion' as in moving/motion pictures (= movies)
-> sensation of movement - see Google

锥形外观动感四溢 -> it is describing the tapered contoured look of the car (looks like a rocket or a plane I guess, streamlined, and so on...)

(I expect the singing refs are using 动感 as \'moving\'(=令人感动) - not relevant here, as far as I can see)

TRY

There seems no way to put it accurately, because it is uniquely Chinese. Suggustion: just use any adjective pleasant to the ears to translate it.

literally, it means when the car is parked, you feel in your mind it is running on the road.
