Reply 2: No, it's added as a suffix in the noun.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finnish_grammar , for example. And please notice that the same suffix can't be randomly added to other nouns, for example, other country names as such. But rather, e.g. Suomi -> SuomESSA (Finland -> in Finland), etc.
Example sentence:

X asuu Saksassa
