Hallo,
weiß jemand, wie man "extra double" übersetzen kann? Ich habe bei google gesehen, dass es "extra double" nicht nur bei Gerbera sondern auch bei anderen "flowers"gibt. Allerdings weß ich nicht, was es bedeutet. Leider habe ich nicht mehr Kontext, da es sich lediglich um eine Aufzählung verschiedener Gerberasorten handelt:

"the extra double mini gerberas"

Bin mir ziemlich sicher, dass es hier um eine in der Botanik verbreitete Einstufung nach der Anzahl der Blütenblätter geht:
"Double": viele Blütenblätter (20-50)
"Very double": sehr viele Blütenblätter (über 50).

Die "doppelt gefüllten Blüten", für die es natürlich sehr viele Google-Treffer gibt, entsprechen der "double"-Klasse.

Ich vermute aber stark, dass "extra double" hier mit "very double" synonym zu setzen ist, so dass die Übersetzung "doppelt gefüllt" hier nicht zutrifft.

"very double" entspricht im Deutschen den "stark gefüllten Blüten". Daher sollte entweder "stark gefüllte Blüten" oder "Blüten mit sehr vielen Blütenblättern" die richtige Wahl sein.

Gerberas come in a very wide range of colors - almost every colour except blue. But typically purple, red, pink, orange, yellow, cream, peach and white. Breeders have produced hundreds of different colored varieties with subtle differences in shading from creamy pastels to hot neons, some with dark centers, some with shades of buff and maroon, some with serrated or frilly petals, or double flowers and extra wide petals.
