Finnish term

DDK SNK

Finnish to English Medical Medical (general)
These are to do with testing coordintaion in a patient. But I cannot tell if they are Finnish only or international (though surely DDK is not originally Finnish). Or is DDK the same as SNK?

Yes I know but I wasn't sure if one was a translation of the other, which, it turns out, it wasn't
Alfa Trans (X) Sep 15, 2009:
kaksi termiä nyt on myöhäistä rääkäistä, mutta huomattakoon, että kysymys on kahdesta eri termistä eli kysyjän olisi pitänyt tehdä kaksi eri kysymystä.

Diadochokinesis / Student-Neuman-Keuls

By googling "DDK-testi" I found the Finnish explanation for DDK as "diadokokineesi - toistuvien liikkeiden tarkkuus". By googling SNK I ended up with three surnames (of researchers?) Student-Neuman-Keuls. So it seems that both abbreviations may be used both in Finnish and English.

neutral Anu Carroll : Agree with "diadochokinesis" for DDK, but SNK more likely "finger-to-nose test" (sormi-nenänpääkoe).

Indeed you are right! Student-Newman-Keuls is some sort of a statistical comparison method. Thank you for this correction!
