This is under patient information in the admission report, under the category called Ammissione

There is Tipo di ammissione, motivo, provenienza, diagnosi di accoglimento, then comes:

Onere: Totale carico S.S.N. -- followed by: Modalità di erogazione: Ordinaria

I feel that the two parts above must be connected, referring to who is paying for the service. I don't feel confident translating "Modalita di erogazione" since I don't know what they're talking about, and "Ordinaria" in this context can have a specific meaning that I don't know.

perhaps a third option is the intramoenia, professional paying service c/- the hospital structure - I think it is only in case of day hospital

@Cedric Randolph I wouldn't use hospitalisation unless you're sure he's staying for the night - it could be a day admission

Thanks Ciao Luigi, yes your reference is helpful. I think Regime Ordinario can simply be translated as (Regular) Inpatient / Hospitalization. It contrasts with Day Hospital, where the patient does not spend the night(s) in the hospital. Also as Cedric suggests below.

It is a bureaucratic term that refers to how health services are provided. I cannot explain what all the modes of delivery are.

Provision of service: ordinary hospitalisation

Hi Joe, good evening. After looking through the pdf document in discussion for verification and through my own experience, I believe this means that the in-patient services were rendered under an ordinary regime, ie, the patient was not paying since the NHS (SSN) covered all charges and this was not an out-patient or day hospital service.
