Spanish term

Imposiciones vigentes

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) Term Deposit Account
Term Deposit Account (Spain)

I understand that "imposición" means "deposit" in this context.

Rather than using the word "current" here, would "pending" perhaps be more appropriate?

Many thanks in advance for your assistance.

Discussion

Ruth Ramsey (asker) Aug 23, 2022:
Hi Francois, I've double checked and CD's are in the form of a savings account. However, I don't think this is referring to CD's in this instance although I accept there are some similarities.
Francois Boye Aug 23, 2022:
@ Ruth

Do you know the concept of CD (certificate of deposit)?
Ruth Ramsey (asker) Aug 23, 2022:
Hi Francois, the context is that at the top of the bank statement it says "Depósito a plazo" which means "term deposit" or "time deposit". It looks like a fairly standard bank statement, which I don't think would be the case if it was relating to bonds.
Francois Boye Aug 22, 2022:
@ Ruth

What is the evidence that 'imposicion' means term deposit?.
philgoddard Aug 22, 2022:
I agree that it's most likely to mean deposits.

Note from asker:
Hi Patinaba, they seem to use the "depósito a plazo" elsewhere in the document for "term deposit".
Peer comment(s):

agree philgoddard : Just "current deposits" would do.

outstanding (bank) charges

I am giving a low CL here as "imposiciones" could have several meanings
I think this is probably saying that on this particular account there are no outstanding charges

Possible other meaning: outstanding tax (i.e. income tax on bank interest)
Note from asker:
Hi AllegroTrans, I'm not really sure about "charge" or "tax" here as "Imposición" is listed as the first heading, followed by "Product" and then the last heading is the "Balance". Also, the main heading shows that it's referring to the position of the account on a specific date.

outstanding certificates of deposit

Maybe this is what Asker means

What Is a Certificate of Deposit (CD)?

A certificate of deposit (CD) is a savings product that earns interest on a lump sum for a fixed period of time. CDs differ from savings accounts because the money must remain untouched for the entirety of their term or risk penalty fees or lost interest. CDs usually have higher interest rates than savings accounts as an incentive for lost liquidity.

Almost all consumer financial institutions offer CDs, although it’s up to each bank which terms it wants to offer, how much higher the rate will be compared to the bank’s savings and money market products, and what penalties it applies for early withdrawal.
