There's a definition for every person Sep 8, 2016

Sorry fellows,
I don't understand this question. What are "Translation Bloggers"?
In a semantic way, because I have Blogs for hobbies like StoryTelling, i must give a definition: Translation bloggers are bloggers that translate in an automatic way like Google translator.
Now, If you are talking about "bloggers-translators", I must say that a blog shouldn't promote your work: A website yes, not a blog.
Blogs are for your hobbies or for news when you have a website, nothing else.
And related to that: i have read a couple of blogs from translators and I should say: most of them have the same posts with different words.
Long live to Blogs...but use them wisely.

You might have misunderstood the question. A translation blogger is a blogger who writes or blogs about translation. Same goes for a fashion blogger, a movie blogger, etc. The concept is quite clear. A translation blogger is not, as you say, a blogger that translates automatically like Google Translate.

Who said blogs are just for hobbies? Where is that written?

Mostly useless, many times irritating Sep 8, 2016

Most translator blogs I visited in the past had the sole purpose of self-promotion. There are some very rare ones whose purpose is actually to provide some kind of contribution or discussion, and these usually have a higher frequency and participation.
But I stopped wasting time with blogs a long time ago, for the same reason I also never spend more than 15 minutes a day in social media (only to visit my own page and contribute to professional discussions): feeding other people's egos is

So congratulations for those who actually have a useful blog that provides useful information and relevant discussions. You are as rare as diamonds in the blog universe. But unfortunately the vast majority of the ego-feeding blogs have undermined the initiative, and people with a lot of work to do won't waste their time with this anymore.
Like the social networks, the blogs could be a wonderfull resource; but like the social networks, the trolls and the super-egos destroyed them.

No idea, do not have any time to look into that sort of stuff, too busy and when I am not busy, I spend time with my family.

I share Michael's viewpoint, and all goes very well for me.

Have a great day.
