Spanish term

oficinas de atención al público

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering IT (Information Technology) e-signature
Refers to regional and local government offices (Spain, Europe), so "customer" is not indicated. I'm looking for a snappy title. Any ideas?

Discussion

Henry Hinds May 25, 2005:
Definitely not "customers", not for government offices.
Non-ProZ.com May 25, 2005:
Customers is NOT correct at all IMO
Non-ProZ.com May 25, 2005:
Customers, by definition, buy goods; Clients acquire services.
Non-ProZ.com May 25, 2005:
"Customer" is NOT indicated here...

Much depends on the type of service performed. I\'m assuming that more than information is involved, that they include offices where people can register something like a small business, pay taxes, file a complaint, etc.

disagree Jane Lamb-Ruiz (X) : I disagree with the clientelization of government offices..this whole movement to call the public, the clients of the government is not good and expecially not to transfer it to a European setting..sorry

client care facilities

Since they are not "customers," perhaps "clients" or "residents" might be used.

Another option might be "The Office(s) of Resident Services"...
