Just a suggestion, seeing as you can't really use "affectionate" twice in the same sentence.

Comment: "many thanks to all - I don't think cuddly was so wrong, since as far as I can get from the dictionaries it works in both 'directions'. however, I choose lovey-dovey because it's a bit colloquial and childish, as coccoloso is, and it also mantains some allitteration. ciao :o)"

: agree with the broken speech bit, but cuddly describes your attitude towards the person, not their attitude towards you, if I say someone is cuddly it means that they're "huggable".
