Again the technical instruction referring to printed circuit boards. My problem refers to the part "Geber". Is it thus a "sensor input board" or a "transducer input board"?

If there is no context at all, sensor is you best bet IMHO. There's a difference between a transmitter and a transducer, and there are even more choices (like detector or electrode). Sensor is the most general term, AFAIK

According to Ernst, Geber means "transmitter". There are even 4 Google hits for transmitter input board (I know that's not a lot, but better than none).

Da fiele mir schon was ein ;-) Sehe aber auch durchaus die Logik deines Vorschlags, dass sensor neutraler ist.
