esprit de consommation/consommanie

De nombreux sites utilisent de manière erronée le mot consumérisme/consumériste* dans le sens italien de consumismo, j'exclurais donc cette possibilité qui prête à confusion

* consumérisme (n.masc.)= (anglicisme : action des consommateurs)
le "consumérisme" (de l'anglais : "consumer", consommateur) entreprend
de défendre les intérêts des consommateurs
consumériste (adj. et n.) publicité, information consumériste

consumiste me semble un bel italianisme qui n'est pas attesté par des sources dignes de foi.

Pour éviter toute périphrase un peu lourde, suivant le contexte, il est sans doute plus judicieux de forger un mot du style consommanie/consommaniaque en utilisant les guillemets. Je pense que pour tout français ce mot, même s'il ne fait partie d'aucun dictionnaire, évoque immédiatement un "accro" de la société de consommation.
Autre possibilité: esprit de consommation effrénée / victime de l'esprit de consommation... (de nombreux essais utilisent cette expression)
