: This could be a possibility, since many Universities have screening rooms. But I believe the term is related to the class itself, as a subject that is taught at the institution (if not the whole course/school). Any institution could have a screening room.

: This makes sense. I kind of like it better than my own option. But as you say, more context would help!

Film Class / School
I've taken some myself...
I think there's a small misunderstanding because "aula" means that it concerns a subject taught at school/university. If it is a single subject, it is "film class" (refer to any of the 241,000 entries found by Google). However, if it somewhat represent collective classes (directing, writing a script, continuity...), if would definitely be "Film School."
Good luck!

"Movie room" would be the idea for "Entertainment Room," that is, a room in a residential house where people gather to watch TV, listen to music, play videogames... That's the room where the "Entertainment Center" or the "Home Theater" is... I don't believe it has anything to do with "aula," since there's no teaching going on.

To clear up the misunderstanding:
According to the Merriam Websters, a "class" in English represents:
A: a body of students meeting regularly to study the same subject
B: the period during which such a body meets
C: a course of instruction
D: a body of students or alumni whose year of graduation is the same
According to La Real Academia, "aula" in Spanish means "the room where classes are taught/presented/taken in an education institution," which could easily be referred to description A above (the body of students that meet in a classroom).
In Portuguese, the definition of "aula" would be applicable to 1b ("A aula de Cinema será apresentada das 14h às 16h na sala 102.") and 1c ("A aula começa às 14h.") only. The word "class" is used for definition 1d ("Classe de 2006.") and 1a would be referred to as "Sala de aula ("A professora pediu silêncio na sala de aula.")

: With so many suggestions, and so much disagreement, how do you begin to justify such a high level of confidence? As for "cinema classroom," it sounds a bit forced/unnatural (though that might be due to dialectal differences).

Universities have "rooms" (in buildings often called "halls"); it's the most common word. >"Aula" in Spanish is (class)room. In this context, "room" works perfectly fine. "Aula" in Spanish and Portuguese are false cognates, Rafa.

Having studied at several US universities (in several states), I think it sounds fine; that said, "Audio-Visual Room" (or simply "A/V room") might be the best option.
