English Science History ALEXAMDER VON HUMBOLDT
Can you help me to find the words in the following passage?

Here goes the transcribed passage:

MELVYN BRAGG: How far we -- I mentioned again in the introduction about his … er … interest in revolutionary politics, particularly with Simon Bolivar, but he’d started earlier. He was in Paris at the time of the revolution, said he’d 8:21 ((carried ???)) to the -- he’d helped to build new temples in Paris in 1790, when he was, what? … twenty-one?. Um … is there -- I mean -- was he -- and this seem to be -- this is staying throughout his life, that he was -- he was on the side of revolutionaries when literary jumped from a podium when he is sitting by -- beside the king when a revolutionary group of 8:39 (()) and joined them.

Where 8:21 and 8:39 are the timestamps.
Thanks in advance. Darek

8:21 ...carried sand...

I am unable to decipher the 8:39 timestamp, so it will be a good idea to hang on and see what other answerers can offer.

I would also like to add a couple of suggestions about other parts of the text. They are as follows:

1. Where you have written 'this is staying throughout his life', it is 'this sustained throughout his life'.

2. Where you have written 'literary jumped from a podium', it should be 'literally jumped from a podium'.

You are doing well!
