The Consultant shall execute all documents and do all things which may be necessary or desirable for obtaining patents or other legal protection for the
Intellectual Property in such part of the world as may be specified by the Client and for vesting the same in the Client or as it may direct including, but not limited
to, assigning or causing to be assigned to the Client all rights of copyright and other intellectual property rights or, if assignment of such rights is not possible
under the relevant laws, then their licensing or sub-licensing respectively, and all material made, developed, written, granted or otherwise created by the Consultant in the course of providing Services under this Agreement to hold the same to the Client absolutely throughout the world.

wydaje się, że jest to trochę powtórzenie wcześniej poajawiającego się "for vesting the same in the Client" tylko, że "vesting" dotyczy ochrony Własności intelektualnej w części świata wskazanej przez Klienta a "hold the same" z kolei "all rights of copyright and other intellectual property rights" i ma charakter szerszy geograficznie (bez uzależnienia od wskazania części świata przez Klienta)

Nieco inna propozycja w stosunku do wersji Adama.
Oczywiście "the same" to prawa. Tego rodzaju sformułowania stosuje się w umowach, których treścią jest przeniesienie praw autorskich, patentowych itd. W niektórych krajach można je automatycznie przepisać na klienta i zarejestrować, a w niektórych nie. Druga część dotyczy właśnie takiej sytuacji. Gdy cesja praw nie jest możliwa lub jest utrudniona lub gdy wymaga czasu i zastosowania procedur, prawa "zabezpiecza się na rzecz kogoś", inaczej mówiąc, nie wykorzystuje ich dalej i nie robi się też z nimi niczego innego. HTH
