I couln't care less about the points; I have enough of them :-)
jarry (X) Feb 26, 2008:
Yes, that would make sense. "Andere dan kaskosten" are expenses other than cash, but the English has a term for it, namely 'non-cash expenses' as indicated by Nanda. My answer was therefore correct and the glossary ought to be changed accordingly.
Alexander Schleber (X) (asker) Feb 26, 2008:
The replies appear contradictory (non-cash vs. cash). And the other setences in the source also seem confusing.
But they said "andere dan kaskosten"!! Their explanation says kaskosten = cash costs. But then cash flow would be profit + non-cash costs (like depreciation). Does that make sense??

cash expenses

Personally I would prefer to translate "andere dan kaskosten" with "non-cash expenses". That seems to be more usual. (see first URL)

The second URL gives a definition of how to deduct cashflow.
Example sentence:

Cash flow is made up of net earnings plus any non-cash expenses.

non-cash expenses (such as depreciation for instance)

These are expenses not involving any cash outlay/outflow
