Reisetag ( datum)

German to English Social Sciences Education / Pedagogy
On the certificate of the completing the course there are two dates.

1 Reisetag(datum)
2 Dienstantritt erfolgte em ( Datum)

What is the difference please ?

The certificate is issued by German army force. The holder completed the course and received Diploma in Aircraft Equipment. Then certificat was signed by OTL u Kdr LehrGrp which i think means Lt-Col and Cmdr. Then I HAVE DATES IN TWO PLACE.

2. Dienstantritt erfolgte am ( Datum)

Really I have no idea what is it mean. Please help. Please can you reply in English. Thank you

From the asker's previous questions, I gather that it is a certificate issued by the German Bundeswehr, in which case "date of travel" and "travel day" cover the meaning. IMHO, even "date of departure" might be ok, as it will probably not take a recruit..

(It should be "Dienstantritt erfolgt am...", by the way)

With no more context, I can't be completely sure, but I would understand "Reisetag" to be the day a journey was undertaken, so perhaps "date of departure" in English. "Dienstantritt" would be when the person started their job or new position.

date of travel

Reisetag does not indicate mode, i.e. whether it is departure or arrival. Just that the person is travelling.

Nur eine weitere Möglichkeit. Offensichtlich das Datum der Reise. Taucht bei der Bundeswehr häufig im Zusammenhang mit dem Dienstantrittsdatum auf.
