English term

Parent/child object

Non-PRO English to Thai Other Computers (general) Computer Programming
Hi, I would like to know the Thai term of "parent" and "child" object. Not literally parent and child, but as in terms of computer field. Thanks in advance.
Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

PRO (1): May_L

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

English term or phrase: Parent/child object
Hi, I would like to know the Thai term of "parent" and "child" object. Not literally parent and child, but as in terms of computer field. Thanks in advance.

I found something about these terms. I'm not really sure you will understand. But normally we do use "parent" and "child" without any text localization. Below is the explanation of each word you may find on computer field.

Degree หมายถึง จำนวน Branch ที่สัมพันธ์กับ Node แบ่งเป็น
Indegree หมายถึง Branch ที่ชี้เข้าหา Node
Outdegree หมายถึง Branch ที่ชี้ออกจาก Node
Root หมายถึง Node แรกของ Tree
Leaf หมายถึง Node ที่มี Outdegree เท่ากับ 0
Internal node หมายถึง Node ที่ไม่ใช่ Root และ Leaf
Parent หมายถึง Node ที่มี Outdegree
Child หมายถึง Node ที่มี Indegree

Since the term is new to a non-English language like Thai (as many other IT terms), transliterated name is also widely used and understandable in the field.
You may notice that "object" is transliterated as proper translation cannot be found for now.
Please refer to the Royal Thai Instistute web site for your reference.
